With the aim to prevent recovery momentum from the Great East Japan Earthquake to wear thin, plant “Haruka”, cherry tree, as a symbol of recovery, all across Japan, and send messages via events hosted in Fukushima prefecture.
Energize Japan from Fukushima
As of 2012, only 1 year after the tragedy, more than 50% of the Fukushima prefecture citizens responded that they already felt recovery momentum was wearing thin. With a backdrop of this, e-solutions founded SAKURAPROJECT Inc. Since this establishment, promote “fukushima SAKURA project” with the aim to prevent recovery momentum for Fukushima, Tohoku, involving Fukushima, administrative agencies, sponsor and partner corporates.
Plant “Haruka”, cherry tree, as a symbol of recovery, all cross Japan
When new species of cherry tree was presented as a gift from Forestry Agency to Fukushima prefecture, it was given the name of “Haruka” with support from Haruka Ayase, Japanese actress, starring in “Yae-no Sakura”, long-running historical drama series on NHK TV.” Since then, “Haruka” tree planting projects were hosted nationwide rising awareness of this project across Japan
Projection mapping, giving hope to people
The first projection mapping project was held at Tsuruga Castle in Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima prefecture, in spring 2013, where the image was projected on the actual castle. Back in 2013, mapping directly onto castle was new, not been seen before. Cherry petal representing the ascending soul along with the theme song from the TV drame “Yae-no Sakura” was broadcasted via many programs including NHK news. This projection mapping project has continued to this day hosted at spring time in Aizuwakamatsu city, Shirakawa city, Fukushima prefecture, receiving great response from people in the area.
Platform to maximize CSR impacts
Working with trusted representatives such as administrative office, Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima, and Nikkei Newspaper, with their powerful message distribution network, marketing platform was created, therewith established the structure to maximize CSR impacts for corporates that would like to contribute to the recovery. This was a strong differentiation among many other recovery supports events then taking place.
