President Sasaki Delivers Keynote Speech at the 30th Political and Economic Seminar Hosted by the Liberal Democratic Party Hokkaido 5th Electoral District Branch

On June 7, 2025, our President and CEO, Sasaki, delivered a keynote speech at the 30th Political and Economic Seminar hosted by the Liberal Democratic Party Hokkaido 5th Electoral District Branch, held in Sapporo City. This large-scale event, organized by former Member of the House of Representatives Yoshiaki Wada, attracted approximately 400 participants from Hokkaido’s political and business communities.

Sasaki’s speech, titled “Next-Generation Geothermal Technology Maximizing Hokkaido’s Geothermal Potential,” focused on addressing regional challenges and proposing solutions.

In particular, Sasaki illustrated the impact of Hokkaido’s heavy snowfall on economic activities with concrete data, explaining how these conditions hinder economic ripple effects. He then proposed leveraging Hokkaido’s untapped geothermal energy potential to unlock the region’s future and drive sustainable development.

During the presentation, Sasaki introduced cutting-edge examples of geothermal utilization from Munich and Geretsried, Germany, sister cities of Sapporo. These case studies highlighted the challenges of conventional geothermal power generation and demonstrated how advanced technologies are overcoming these obstacles.

Furthermore, Sasaki outlined the specific benefits of introducing geothermal technology in Hokkaido, including solutions to issues unique to heavy snowfall regions. His speech provided attendees with valuable insights into the potential for resolving regional challenges and fostering a brighter future for the community.

Our company remains committed to promoting and implementing technologies that contribute to the sustainable development of regional societies. We will continue to work towards realizing these goals in collaboration with local communities.
