President Sasaki and Senior Executive Vice President Fujimoto Delivered Lecture on Improving Residential Living Through “Early Detection of Sudden Health Changes” and “Early Detection of Mild Symptoms” at the League of Diet Members for Promoting Policies to Improve Residential Living

On July 10, 2026, Keishin Sasaki, President and CEO, and Sayuri Fujimoto, Senior Executive Vice President, delivered a lecture at the “League of Diet Members for Promoting Policies to Improve Residential Living (Considering the Future of the Housing Industry),” held at the Liberal Democratic Party Headquarters.

Our subsidiary, Total Future Healthcare (TFH), is promoting the development of a platform that implements “Early Detection of Sudden Health Changes®”—which requires prompt response—and “Early Detection of Mild Symptoms®” for conditions with many undiagnosed patients and low examination rates, within residential settings, connecting residents to medical care. TFH estimates that early detection of three types of sudden health changes and eight diseases could reduce social costs such as medical and long-term care expenses by up to 12 trillion yen.

In the lecture, Sasaki and Fujimoto explained the social background behind TFH’s initiatives, citing the increase in accidental deaths within homes and cases of diseases with many undiagnosed patients and low examination rates, and highlighted the importance of securing housing for the elderly and reducing the burden of home-based care amid the shortage of caregiving personnel.

They further introduced future initiatives aimed at addressing these social challenges, including “fall detection” technology using high-precision radar sensors, technology to assess health conditions from facial images, and personalized preventive care proposals.

Diet members, representatives from housing industry-related companies, and officials from relevant government ministries gathered for the event, engaging in an active discussion on the need for corporate collaboration to enable early detection of sudden health changes at home and prompt response and rescue, as well as expectations for the domestic implementation of the latest overseas technologies in Japan.
