President & CEO Sasaki Delivered Lecture on “Regional Revitalization and Industrialization Leveraging the Potential of Kurobe and Unazuki Onsen” at the 42nd Kurobe City Economic Liaison Council

On October 6, 2026, Keishin Sasaki, President & CEO of e-solutions, inc., delivered a lecture titled “Regional Revitalization and Industrialization Leveraging the Potential of Kurobe and Unazuki Onsen” at the 42nd Kurobe City Economic Liaison Council, held at Kurobe City Hall.
Sasaki began by defining regional revitalization as “creating industries, generating employment, and increasing tax revenue,” and explained the importance of “industrialization,” which maximizes a region’s potential to expand revenue from outside the area.
As a reference case, he introduced the initiative of Güssing, Austria, which used inexpensive electricity from biomass power generation, based on local forest resources, to attract about 60 companies and increased its tax revenue 4.4-fold.
He then explained the current tailwinds for tourism in Toyama Prefecture, including Toyama’s high placement in a travel website’s rising popularity rankings and the Kurobe Unazuki Canyon Route, which opened to the general public in October.
Sasaki went on to present the latent appeal of Kurobe and Unazuki Onsen, including renewable energy such as small-scale hydropower and next-generation geothermal power, food nurtured by Kurobe’s famous spring water, hot springs known for their skin-beautifying properties, and music and the arts.
As measures to leverage these assets, he proposed attracting companies by using inexpensive renewable electricity as a draw, and maximizing tourism revenue through synergies with the companies attracted.
Approximately 30 participants representing the region’s government, business, and tourism sectors attended and listened attentively, including Kurobe Mayor Nobuhiro Uesaka, the Kurobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Kurobe Junior Chamber, agricultural and fishery cooperatives, and the Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen Tourism Bureau.
e-solutions will continue to contribute to the realization of regional revitalization and industrialization that leverage regional potential.
